I know what you are thinking, and yes, this is nuts. However, it’s nuts and it’s true, so if you are into new technologies, you will love this! We often talk about how technology is moving at the speed of light, and this is a perfect example of that. This is something that wouldn’t have even been conceivable a few years ago, but a team in the Cornell University’s Computational Synthesis Lab (CCSL) is very close to having it all figured out. The technology is definitely available now to make this possible.

Using a 3D food printer, you will soon be able to print hot steaming food right at your dinner table. Instead of using regular ink cartridges, you will use food ink cartridges. For example, there would be a chocolate cartridge, a flour cartridge, and even a raw foods cartridge if you wanted to print some really healthy food one evening. You would even be able to customize your food’s taste and texture depending on what you prefer. If you like your steak cooked medium-rare, you will be able to adjust the setting to make it perfect. Whether you like your green beans crunchy or soft, or your eggs runny or scrambled, you will be able to simply adjust a setting before cooking… err… printing. You will even be able to print the perfect piece of sushi.

As crazy as this may sound, imagine for a moment the positive impact it would have on our environment. According to BBC, “You can imagine a 3D printer making homemade apple pie without the need for farming the apples, fertilizing, transporting, refrigerating, packaging, fabricating, cooking, serving and the need for all of the materials in these processes like cars, trucks, pans, coolers, etc…” Imagine being able to email that recipe right to someone’s printer for them to hit print and eat for dinner. The idea of “treating someone to dinner” just got a whole lot different. This is not just a design concept conceived by a creative designer, no, this is here, and it’s developing as we speak. If your boy car needs that little something extra to make him feel manly next to the cute little convertible at the red light, how about buy him a mustache… err… carstache?

According to Carstache, “Your first carstache feels like your first kiss, cold beer, snow cone and slow dance. It’s glorious!” As tacky as you may think these mustaches look, I still think they are better than those Christmas wreaths people strap to the hood of their car during the holidays. Talk about embarrassing your car and giving him a complex! Hmm… I have a boy car and a girl car. If I buy some eyelashes for my girl car and this mustache for my boy car, does that mean I have to worry about what might happen when they are alone together in the garage?

I have seen so many caricatures since starting Bit Rebels back in June, 2009. Some are purely done on paper while others were completely sketched out on an iPad or iPhone. You can’t mistake talent when you see stuff like this, especially when you find out it was all done by hand. I mean, we’re always looking for perfection, and today when the media wheel is turning so fast, we all get more picky about what impresses us.

However, if you’re not impressed by painter and caricature master Sebastian Krüger then I think you should get a pair of glasses. His imagination and sense of detail is mind boggling when it comes to his Hollywood stars semi-caricature paintings. You will notice the perfection instantly. Who wouldn’t want to hang one of these on their wall at home? They would be widely legendary.

If you are a painter, sketcher or doodler, you will definitely enjoy checking out his website because you will never again find a website with that much inspiration. It’s literally schmaggedy packed with sketches, paintings and step-by-step walk throughs. Just going there will probably teach you a thing or two, instantly. After having watched his work now for over 30 minutes, I am still stunned in awe by it all. Supreme doesn’t even cover it, so I better just stay quiet…

I saw these posters on Unplggd and they made me laugh. They were designed by a Sao Paulo ad agency called Moma. Won’t it be fun to be grandmas and grandpas and see vintage ads for things like the iPhone and feel nostalgic?

Here's a piece of silliness that should definitely put a smile on your face, though we warn you that there are spoilers ahead.

If you've seen Inception, you know the ridiculousness that is idea of a meta dream world. But if you can't seem to wrap that concept around your head, then perhaps this explanation will lay it out for you in laymen's terms. Jonah Ray, host of the Web Soup, posted a nifty graphic in his Tumblr explaining the many levels of Inception's dream hierarchy using Mac OS X folders. It's a pretty clever way to unravel the mystery behind the movie. Check it out for yourself.

This DIY hack is gross and funny all at the same time. A guy on Instructables going by Schmidt has posted up a how to on building a remote control that will change the channel on the TV to a random channel each time it detects a fart.

The builder came up with the idea after seeing a hack using Arduino to turn a TV on and off using a brainwave headset and an office chair that twittered each time the user farted. Using ingenuity and a love for flatulence the guy cobbled the two together.

Now each time the builder’s dad busts a groupie, the TV turns to a random channel. That is a great gag for sure. The parts list includes a methane sensor, Arduino, and a few more items. This would be funny, but my kids would fart on it on purpose.
